The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is committed to providing exceptional stewardship to achieve and maintain a healthy and sustainable environment. The Watershed Restoration Program was developed, to implement recommendations of Watershed Plans for the watersheds 32 Local Management Areas (LMA) identified in the Niagara Water Quality Strategey (NWQPS). Works under this program focus on the improvement of local water quality and habitat diversity (wetland rehabilitation, reforestation), Best Management Practices for agriculture, naturalization projects, and stream-bank stabilization/bioengineering techniques.

Eco School Program
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority ECO School Program is a hands-on learning opportunity for both elementary and Highschool students. The program encourages young people to take an active role in local water quality and habitat improvements through planning and developing a native wildflower garden on their school grounds.
